Iran’s ‘Subtraction’ to vie at Toronto festival

Iranian ‘Subtraction’ is to vie at the Toronto Int'l Film Festival in Canada.

Iranian feature ‘Subtraction’ (Tafriq) has made its way to the 47th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in Canada.

‘Subtraction’, directed by Mani Haqiqi, will take part in the festival’s Platform competition.

“After a confusing interaction in downtown Tehran, a married couple seems to have found their doppelgangers,” a synopsis for the film reads.

The film is starring Navid Mohammadzadeh and Taraneh Alidousti.

The TIFF’s mission is “to transform the way people see the world through film”, website of the event reads.

It is “dedicated to presenting the best of international and Canadian cinema and creating transformational experiences for film lovers and creators of all ages and backgrounds”.

The 47th edition of the TIFF will take place on September 8-18.
